Since LHACC opened in July 2010, it has served the community, through its culturally competent bilingual staff, offering information, referral and follow-up services and case management services.
In 2013, the United Way of the Capital Region, who had been instrumental in supporting LHACC’s development, designated LHACC as a United Way Partner Organization.
LHACC provides services that support basic human needs including food, clothing, and shelter. The organization also supports individuals with immigration matters, employment assistance, education needs such as GED and ESL, both physical and mental health services, intervention services including family relocation, domestic violence, scams, fraud, identify theft, and other legal matters; housing and tenant issues.
LHACC operates as a “One-Stop-Shop” that can attend to all our community’s human and social service needs, through close partnerships with organizations that provide services or developing and providing programs for unmet needs at LHACC
